about

This is another song that was kind of parts here and there that Sean and I would always jam on but it never really went anywhere. It always had a Deftones feel when we would jam it, I don't know if it still does or not but we really dig it. In the middle scream/noise parts Jamie asked me to just go in the vocal booth and "do stuff" yell or whatever just to see what would happen. So I paid homage to Chino and did some of his screams. Also in that first noisy part, to me I pictured a sky diver in the plane getting ready to jump hence the countdown. During the "ooooh" parts he's falling. When the snare cracks the parachute opens.

One night I was fiddling around with this song while we were streaming a live practice and our friend Russ heard it and asked us to finish the Deftones sounding song. So I went home that night and finished it, it's changed a little in pre production but still has the same vibe. The title Dangerous is a play on Russ's name and his production company dangeruss since he dug the song so much.

lyrics

Could you take it down, it's dangerous for us
It's something that you've lost
In time you wouldn't mind at all in all the fall
of being wrong don't take me down it's dangerous

See it's always a bust and a habit that we trust
I don't care too much about you

Will you fall in line when you know it's time
For lies no matter what
The doubt of being out and in then in the way
Of seeing all don't take me down it's dangerous

See it's always a bust and a habit that we trust
I don't care too much about you

Oooh, oooh, oooh, oooh

We'll take a chance we'll make it last
Say your goodbyes forget the past
We'll take a chance we'll make it last
Now that you're dead I'm glad

See it's always a bust and a habit that we trust
I don't care too much about you
