As musicians/artists, sometimes we are influenced by other artists. For this song, in my mind I was influenced by newer Deftones music. This is one of those cases where in my mind I was heavily influenced by them but the song turned out sounding nothing like them. Lol In my mind it could have been delivery, the music, the feeling they give me. I don’t know how else to explain how I was influenced. I just was.

I remember when we wrote this song the ending was supposed to have a big build up, just explode into noise.
During the recording we just started layering noise and it came out in a way that actually slowed down and died out. Quite the opposite than what we intended. But I really dig it. I remember sitting on the floor manually manipulating my digital delay to get some of the noise that fades out. See video in comments.

This song is about someone being infatuated with someone else while in a club. Meeting and ending up on a beach together somewhere. Romcom style.
